The latest release of Barcode Magician 1.7 supports Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. The applications are installed in the client machine and do not store information in the PC Registry. Memory requirements are really based on the OS. Most standard installations work fine with Barcode Magician. Barcode Magician will require less than 50 MB of drive space.

Barcode Magician requires that you have a successful implementation of MET/TRACK 6.x or 7.x. MET/CAL and MET/TRACK Version 6.x utilizes the 32 Bit Sybase 5.5 Network Requester that is supplied with MET/CAL and MET/TRACK version 6.x, or one is provided on the CD. This link must be operational before starting the software or ODBC must be configured properly to start up the Network Requester automatically.
MET/CAL Version 7.x utilizes Sybase Adaptive Server 8 and a description of the configuration is described in this manual. The network requester is not visible with Sybase version 8 like it is with Sybase version 5.5.
The PC should be running Windows 98/Millineum, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 (Service Pack 4 or higher),Windows 2000, or Windows XP. You may want to make sure the PC has at least 128 MB of memory. More memory enhances performance. The system requires at least a VGA Color Monitor. Required hard drive space on each client should be less than 30 Mbytes.
