The following is a product compatibility guide for Fluke and OTS software and product release schedules.

Barcode Magician – Supports Fluke MET/TRACK 7.3 now

Version 1.6.0 - Supports Fluke MET/CAL and MET/TRACK version 7.0 – 7.01

Version 1.6.1 – Supports Fluke MET/CAL and MET/TRACK version 7.1 – 7.2

Version 1.7.0 – Supports Fluke MET/CAL and MET/TRACK version 7.1 – 7.2 (SP3)

Version 1.7.1 – Supports Fluke MET/CAL and MET/TRACK version 7.1 – 7.3

Notes: Barcode Magician 1.7.1 will now replace version 1.7.0 and has some new additional features and also supports MET/TRACK 7.3 (32 and 64 bit operating systems). Customers that have version 1.7.0 can download the new version from the OTS web site and can use the existing 1.7 licenses. You will need to register at least one 1.7 license. We recommend uninstalling the old version and re-installing the new version. Customers with version 1.6 will have to purchase an upgrade to version 1.7.1. We will not support version 1.6 for the Fluke 7.3 release. There are OS incompatibilities with version 1.6 for Vista and Windows 7. Barcode Magician 1.7.1 can run on Windows 2000 SP4, but note that the new Fluke 7.3 will not install on a Windows 2000 OS. We continue to support Windows 2000 because we have some customers that will have issues upgrading their computers in certain industries. Barcode Magician still uses the Crystal Reports 10 run time engine. You can use the Crystal 12 Report Editor to create most report types for Barcode Magician.

Email Notification – The current version is compatible although we are about to release a new METDaemon version with a new installation procedure. Server support for 2008 32 and 64 bit and earlier server releases.

Release Date – Mid July 2011

Metrology Xplorer 1 – The current 1.2 release is compatible with server 2008 and lower, but may require some assistance from OTS. A new release with some new features will be coming out for Server 2008 – 32 and 64 bit versions with an improved installation process. The current version 1.2.9 with the optional report updater is iPhone and Android compliant.

Release Date – July 31, 2011

Metrology Xplorer 2 – The current release is compatible although we are about to release a new version with improved screen handling, advanced field linking, and Crystal Reports 12. Server support for 2008 32 and 64 bit and earlier server releases.

Release Date – Mid July 2011

Change/Log 1.2.2 – The current release is compatible and you should not have to re-install on a system that is upgraded to Fluke 7.3 .

Remote Pipeline1.2 – Remote Pipeline 1.2 is now released and will support MET/TRACK/CAL versions 71. to 7.3. The current versions 1.1.x will have to be updated to support Fluke 7.3. Do not try to use the 1.1.x version of Remote Pipeline with the new Fluke release. An upgrade is available now. You will have to upgrade the existing Remote MET/BASES per Fluke's license requirements. These Remote MET/BASES are not normally covered by the Fluke Gold Plan. Contact Fluke for more information.

Brother Label Printers – We are still looking at the printers and will introduce two new printers with a custom manual for network and USB printers that support the Fluke version 7.0+ software. OTS is now an authorized Brother partner and an announcement will bhee coming out shortly. We will update this document regarding the older Brother 9500PC at a later time. We still have to test some drivers.

OTS is also about to release some totally new products, but we will get our existing products released first before making these announcements.
